As you may be aware, sadly in the last year, two young people have drowned in open water in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We have been made aware of a local Water Safety Event this month which you may wish to share with any services in your agency that have contact with parents/families. Details below –
We want to:
– Promote having fun on the water whilst being safe
– Prevent accidents
– Collaborate
– Encourage inclusion of all
This is why we are hosting our inaugural Water Safety Event on Friday 30th May, where there will be plenty to see and do.
Join us for FREE water and land based activities, FREE Pirate Swashbuckle Shows with Gemma Hunt, presenter of CBeebies’ Swashbuckle, a BBQ, and a chance to meet and hear from some of our partners and supporters including fellow teams from Cambridgeshire County Council, Huntingdonshire District Council, Cambridgeshire Constabulary, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, Living Sport, Cambridgeshire Search and Rescue (CamSAR) and Magpas Air Ambulance. There will also be coffee provided on the day by our friends at TrueStart Coffee | Certified B Corp | Carbon Negative 😉
