This communication is being sent on behalf of Peterborough City Council
Dear St George’s hydrotherapy users and supporters,
Hydrotherapy sessions will continue to be provided at a facility in Peterborough following a recent trial period.
The council is pleased to confirm that sessions will continue at Lime Academy Trust following a review of a four-week trial which took place earlier this month.
Sessions will run until Christmas and potentially for the remainder of the financial year, although this will depend on staff availability.
Councillor Steve Allen, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Communication, Culture and Communities, said: “We remain committed to helping hydrotherapy users in Peterborough find a permanent facility which will benefit all users. I’m pleased we are extending sessions at Lime Academy and would encourage users to participate so that we can continue the sessions for as long as possible.”
The hydrotherapy pool is based at Lime Academy Trust, Orton Clayton Campus, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, PE2 5SD and there is ample free parking on site.
The facility is 10m x 4m and has a spa pool, heated at 36 degrees. Sessions will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5.30pm to 8.30pm and Saturdays 9am to 3pm.
A member of staff will be in attendance at every session to deal with the operational side of the pool service and helping users with any queries whilst on site. The pool capacity’s is for a maximum of 10 users at a time.
Sessions cost £12 per person and can be booked via the council’s service desk phone number 01733 747474 and selecting option 5. Lines are open from 9am until 12noon.
Kind regards,
Jamie Fenton
