Bretton Parish Council would like to clarify a recent Facebook post that inaccurately suggests residents /individuals should notify the Parish Council of any anti-social behaviour or crimes so that they can report them to the Police.
We want to state categorically that it is the responsibility of residents/ individuals to report any incidents directly to the Police.
Bretton Parish Council firmly believes that the more incidents reported directly to the Police, the better they can recognise the need to deploy more police officers to keep the streets safe.
Therefore, we encourage all residents to report incidents directly to the Police without involving a third party.
If you need to report an incident to the Police, you can do it online by visiting www.cambs.police.uk or by phone. In case of emergencies, call 999. For non-emergencies, please use 101.
