We received a number of calls today (Sunday) between 0645hrs and 0800hrs reporting fires at the rugby club and in Barnstock. One of the three fires has caused some damage to two homes; however, NO persons have been hurt.
Investigations at the scene identified two people who have just been arrested.
In relation to the addresses affected, we have contacted Cross Keys, and they will be making contact with the residents asap.
There are officers on scenes in the Barnstock, and the neighbourhood team will continue patrols for the rest of the day.
I will be completing a Community Impact Assessment, which details our actions and who I have contacted in relation to the incident.
