Bretton Parish Council has taken action to address the recurring parking issues at the Ice Rink during match days. The council has been communicating with the appropriate authorities within Peterborough City Council to assess the problem and find a lasting solution.
In response, the Parking Enforcement Team patrolled the Ice Hockey match on December 3rd, 2023, and issued 44 Penalty Charge Notices (42 for being Parked on a Clearway
2 for being parked on a “no parking” verge restriction), clearly stating that illegal parking will not be tolerated.
To ensure a long-term solution, the Parish Clerk has invited Enforcement officers and members of the Ice Rink organisation to attend one of the Bretton Parish Council Full Council meetings. The council is confident that this meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the issue and find a way forward.
The next Full Council meetings are scheduled for January 23rd and February 27th, 2024.
Bretton Parish Council is committed to ensuring the safety and convenience of the Ice Rink’s residents, visitors, and fans and is confident that a solution can and will be found.
Thank you, Bretton Parish Council
