As part of our ongoing efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB) and nuisance at the Cresset and Bretton Centre, we have been regularly patrolling the area, engaging with the public.
Based on your reports, this is a priority for our neighbourhood team, and anyone found to be causing issues could have police action taken against them in the form of Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) and Community Protection Notices (CPNs).
A CPW is issued as a letter of warning, giving the recipient the chance to stop the behaviour with immediate effect.
If an individual is found to be in breach of the CPW, they can be issued with a CPN. This details formal action required to be taken to prevent the harmful behaviour.
It is a criminal offence to breach a CPN, and could lead to criminal prosecution and conviction.
For more information about ASB, and advice on how to report it, please visit our website.
