Message from ECops -Bretton burglaries update – man charged

Dear Sylvia,

Earlier this week, we told you how our Acquisitive Crime Team had arrested a man in connection with burglaries in Bretton over the weekend.

We’re pleased to say he has now been charged with 10 offences and is due to appear in court today.

The 37-year-old from Wittering has been charged with:

• Attempted burglary with intent to steal in Tollgate on 12 August
• Attempted burglary with intent to steal in Tollgate on 12 August
• Attempted burglary with intent to steal in Tollgate on 12 August
• Interfering with a motor vehicle with the intention of theft in Tollgate on 12 August
• Attempted burglary with intent to steal in Cleatham on 12 August
• Attempted burglary with intent to steal in Cleatham on 12 August
• Attempted burglary with intent to steal in Cleatham on 12 August
• Burglary with intent to steal in Middleton on 13 August
• Burglary, including theft in Greenham on 13 August
• Attempted burglary with intent to steal in Tirrington on 13 August
