| Hello
I’m delighted to start my first update of 2023 with great news about our continuing development programme to build even more affordable homes that people so desperately need. We are set to build 65 new affordable homes in partnership with Countryside Partnerships East Midlands on the former NHS Gloucester Centre site in Peterborough off Morpeth Close. The 3.2 hectares of land will provide 99 homes in total offering a range of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes with a small number of 1 and 2-bedroom apartments. We hope this development, together with the other almost 700 new homes we are currently building in Peterborough, will help to go some way to combating the housing crisis by providing good, quality homes that people can afford to live in.
We’re continuing at pace with our flagship Northminster development with the arrival of the second crane now on site and the third due imminently. As part of this development, we have been working with Peterborough City Council’s Open Space Management team on the environmental improvements and enhancements of Stanley Park.
Stanley Park is located within walking distance from site and has recently seen the planting of 28 individual trees and a number of bird, bat and bee boxes thanks to our ongoing offsite funding contribution support to the city, with the last of the tree planting occurring last week when our Technical Director – Northminster, Gary Clarke (below) met up with Harriet Bowen, City College Peterborough’s Funding and Contracts Curriculum Manager and Michael Britton (below), Peterborough City Council’s Landscape Technical Officer.

I am also really pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Bronze award of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) highlighting our commitment to supporting UK military personnel, reservists, veterans and their families. We know that veterans and their families face unique challenges in civilian life, and I am proud that our team know how to support these individuals with respect and compassion and are equipped with the knowledge and skills to help them.
As always, if you would like to find out more about our service provision, please don’t hesitate to contact me and don’t forget to follow us on our Facebook and Twitter channels, to keep up to date with all our services and events. And you can find out all about the support we offer our residents and communities on our website.
Best wishes
