Last week, we appealed for people who believed they had been approached by a rogue trader to come forward after we had been made aware of a man operating in the Netherton and Dogsthorpe areas of Peterborough.
While carrying out enquiries in Dogsthorpe this morning, one of our PCSOs was alerted by a member of public about a man knocking on their door and asking for money for his services. A man in his 40s was arrested and is currently in custody.
If you have any information or concerns about rogue trading, please contact us online or use our web chat service Those without internet access should call 101.
If a crime is in progress or someone is in immediate danger, please call 999.
You can read more on our website, and find information about door-step crime on our Door-to-door and courier fraud
