On Wednesday nights, the PHAB club creates warm and inviting sessions at the Pyramid Community Centre for individuals aged 16+ who have severe learning and physical disabilities to get together and have social interaction ranging from discos, craft and play and social activities, including days out bowling.
However, on Wednesday, 9th November 2022, around 7 pm -8.45 pm, four youths aged between 10-13 years old decided to terrorise the members /group at the Community Centre by banging on the windows and shouting abuse to the volunteers and members. They were also spitting and throwing liquid at the windows. The whole incident has been very distressing for the members. They were nervous, stressed and intimidated, scared to go outside into the garden or sit near the windows. They were also afraid to go outside to get their lift home.
This incident is unacceptable and has been reported to the police for investigation.
