Heltwate School, an integral part of our community, will host a summer fair on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Your participation and support in this event are greatly appreciated.
We recognise that this may cause some inconvenience, but your safety is our top priority. The summer fair coincides with the scheduled bulky waste collection on the same day.
As a result, Bretton Parish Council has decided to suspend the bulky waste collection at the Heltwate site only due to health and safety concerns.
These concerns arise from the fact that the designated collection point is located directly in front of the school, and the increased foot traffic and activities during the fair could pose a risk to both the attendees and the waste collection team.
Due to these circumstances, the Parish Council is in talks with Aragon to extend their service hours at the Pyramid site, ensuring waste collection proceeds uninterrupted during the event.
