**Important information regarding Bretton Court**

Bretton Parish Council has received important information about Bretton Court, which we will share with residents.

From a planning perspective, is there an extant, unimplemented planning application for conversion to 45 flats and a retail unit, which runs out on 07/02/27 – ref: 22/017017/FUL.

Peterborough City Council have provided the following update:

The current position is that progress on Bretton Court is linked to the wider restructuring of Medesham Homes and the proposed transfer of interests between Peterborough City Council and Cross Keys Homes.

Work is underway to ensure the transaction is legally robust, tax efficient, and represents the best value for the city- this is being supported by independent advisors.

As part of this process, the proposed transaction will be considered by the Council’s Shareholder Cabinet Committee and then taken to Cabinet in Summer 2026 for a decision.

In the meantime, Council officers have been exploring practical steps to ensure momentum can be maintained at Bretton Court as soon as the ownership arrangements are confirmed. At this stage, the Council will engage with the Parish Council and ward Councillors.
