The session consisted of us going through the different ways to make your home secure, personal safety and how to prevent falling victim to a scam. If you think you are speaking to a scammer who is claiming to be from your bank, you should hang up and dial 159, which securely puts you through to your bank.
We touched upon the different schemes that can help you, such as Action Fraud, Safe Local Trades and The Bobby Scheme, as well as eCops.
It was great to hear that everyone found it informative and enjoyed the session, which ended with a Q&A over tea and cake.
Thank you so much for having us and we hope to see you all again soon.
