The Bretton Bulky Waste Service provides a convenient way for residents to declutter their homes or garages by safely and responsibly disposing of unwanted items. However, it’s important to be aware of prohibited items that cannot be accepted, including ash, soil, bricks, rubble, stone, gravel, concrete, car parts and engine oil, sand, paint, and UPVC products.
Residents must accompany their discarded items to one of the six designated sites across Bretton during the allotted time slots and stay until their items are correctly disposed of. Leaving bulky items unattended is illegal fly-tipping and can result in prosecution and a fine.
We urge everyone to follow the Bulky Waste Process to ensure a smooth and efficient service for all.
The Bretton Parish Council would like to thank residents for utilising this service and for their efforts to reduce fly-tipping in our community. While we may not be able to eliminate it, we can certainly decrease the volume of waste left on our streets.
Below is a monthly breakdown of the volume of waste collected from April 2025 to February 2026, which equates to 166 tons:
