Bretton Parish Council employs two Lengthsmen who maintain constant awareness of the areas around Bretton to ensure that they are kept clean of litter and fly-tipping. They pick up litter around Bretton and keep it pristine in the regions of Bretton.
They will report illegal fly posting and fly-tipping to the Parish Clerk and clean subways, and Bretton parks. Their working hours are set; therefore, they are not on call. These two people cover the whole of Bretton – North & South, and they are out in all-weather picking up litter on an average of up to 25 -30 bags per day between them. – I have attached pictures of what they have collected already, which is only in North Bretton.
So please don’t condemn their work ethics, as they are doing their best given the vast area they have to cover. Everyone at Bretton Parish Council is proud of their work on behalf of the community.
If you have any issues with their work, please do not use social media as a platform for communication. Please get in touch with me, the Parish Clerk, directly using the details below parishoffice@brettonparishcouncil.onmicrosoft.com
Thank you, Parish Clerk for Bretton Parish Council.
